Our Mission

FOP Senior Citizens is a not for profit (501C4) organization founded in 1968 and dedicated to provide affordable independent living units for income qualified seniors over the age of 62. Originally formed to provide housing to retired police officers and their spouses, we now welcome residents from every walk of life, consistent with Equal Housing regulations.

In September 2024, we entered into a long term agreement with Pennrose Management to assume a managerial role for the next several years, and concurrently set about to completely renovate the common areas of the property as well as our all of our 106 units, several of which will be fully accessible for residents with disabilities.

Funding for this ambitious project has been provided by the PA Housing Finance Agency, Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation, Federal Home Loan Bank Pittsburgh, Capital One, Fulton Bank Hudson Housing Capital, utilizing Low Income Housing Tax Credits as the primary source.
